DR. ROSIE GERAGHTY
M.B.B.S (QLD) (Hons), F.A.C.R.R.M, F.R.A.C.G.P
Rosie is an experienced General Practitioner and a medical educator for James Cook University Generalist Medical Training. She supervises GP Registrars and Medical Students.
Di has worked for Maranoa Medical as the Practice Manager for 10 years. Originally brought up on the land, she then lived in Adelaide before returning to Roma. As a practice manager her endeavour is to encourage doctors to come to our town and provide our patients with a high level of care.
DR ALWYN RAPATSA
My name is Phutiane Alwyn Rapatsa. I qualified as a medical practitioner in 2002 from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. After that I enrolled for postgraduate studies in Family Medicine (University of Pretoria) and Primary Health Care (University College London), while working as a clinician and lecturer in South Africa until 2013, when I decided to move to Roma. I was awarded the Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine in 2015. As a GP, I am able to help patients with problems on all aspects of medicine with the support of other members of the primary health care team.
Kellie has been working at the practice since 2016. She has recently returned from maternity leave after having a beautiful baby girl late 2019. You will find Kellie at the front desk of MMC with a friendly smile, a can do attitude and usually a few empty coffee cups that have gotten her through her morning.
DR DANIEL COOKSLEY
Originally from Roma, Amie joined our reception team in 2018. She will welcome you with her bubbly personality & a huge smile. You will find her with everything colour coded, labelled & in order behind the front desk of MMC.
DR RAMA VANGALA
Dr Rama has a long experience working in both major metropolitan hospitals and rural general practice. He enjoys all aspects of general medicine however, has a strong interest in skin health.
Maddison joined our team in 2018 and began as an admin support member for the social and emotional mental health department. After having her son late 2018, she then returned to us as apart of our reception team.
DR JOSHUA FORD
Josh is originally from Brisbane and has worked at The Mater Hospital and The Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital before starting his GP training here in Roma. He enjoys looking after people of all ages, and has a particular interest in musculoskeletal problems, and paediatrics.
Taylah moved out from the Somerset region in 2016, and was previously a dental assistant before coming to work as a receptionist with us in the middle of 2019. Outside of work, she enjoys spending her time with her sausage dogs. She is still working on convincing the practice manager that her dogs would be fantastic therapy dogs and it is essential she brings them to work with her.
DR NICHOLAS LEE
Originally from Warwick, Nick finally saw reason and took up a permanent position in Roma in 2019. He enjoys social-distancing-appropriate sports and studying for exams (in moderation of course!). He has a broad range of medical interests and is happy to see patients of all ages.
Kylie lives in Injune and will be found behind reception on a Saturday Morning.
Yoie is a registered nurse and midwife who works behind the scenes and is responsible for the reminder letters.
Dietitian and Care Plan Coordinator
Amber is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who has recently moved to Roma from Adelaide. She enjoys working rurally and providing patient-centred healthcare to people of all age groups. Amber's key interests include chronic disease prevention and management, the relationship between the brain and the gut, and rehabilitation.
B.Nursing . Mast. Mental Health Nursing.
Liz moved to Roma from the city in 2019 and joined the team this year. She is an experienced Mental Health nurse, nurse educator and addiction nurse. She really enjoys assisting patients with a mental health diagnosis and working with them towards their recovery.
Helen has a wealth in experience in the nursing industry in both community and hospital settings.
